Today Sarah and Natalie arrived for the weekend reunion. Terry and Peter left Lakenheath by 4:30 to collect them at Heathrow airport. Their plane arrived on time but it took more than an hour from landing to get through to arrivals. We had forgotten to give them a contact number or address for their landing cards so it was lucky there were no issues with immigration. The ride home took a little more than 2 hours because of traffic. Ann and Jane drove to Emma's house to meet them all. After coffee and cupcakes (LOVE the chocolate Emma) we left them to get settled and take a nap. Jane and Ann went to the food store to pick up last minute things for the barbecue that evening. The girls, Emma, and Ant went to a pub for lunch before coming to Lakenheath for the evening.
Terry is a master barbecue chef. He cooked for an hour loading us up on steaks, chicken, sausages, mushrooms, potatoes, eggplant, zucchini, and so many others we can't remember it all!!!
It was a great night of eating, drinking, and reminiscing. A good prep to tomorrow when we meet the Bugg's.
