Busy Work in Stuart

We have had some busy days aboard. Peter found a marine electrician, Steve, working on a boat beside us and he is helping to replace our TV antenna and fixed the anchor light.Yesterday Steve was hauled up the mast 3 times to check things out.  Today he drove Peter to West Marine and Radio Shack to pick up supplies and a new antenna so tomorrow Steve goes up the mast again to try to attach it.  We found out, after priming our forward head, that there is a leaky valve letting the holding tank water seep back. Thankfully we had not used it yet!!! While at West Marine Peter picked up a repair kit, guess what he will be doing tomorrow!!
Jane has been refinishing the wood trim on the outside, making Irish soda bread, and Pretzel sitting while people work on the boat.  Our neighbor, who offered to stitch the dodger seams that have opened up, seems really busy so we might have to take it to a canvas shop around the corner.  Lucky for us we have a Stuart boat show this weekend so we hope there are some show vendors around.

After feeling sorry for ourselves all day because of the cold wind chill temperatures we are under blankets now in the cabin. It's 49' going down to apx. 37' tonight....and our Espar heater is not working again!, luckily we brought a small electric heater from home and it is a life saver.  Anyway it's all relative after watching the blizzard in New England still going on in Boston. Just heard on the news that 49 states have some snow on the ground today. Guess which is the only state without snow???

Happy Birthday Jennifer!
