Week 2 in Stuart

Steve replacing the TV antenna
Most of the items on our to-do list have been taken care of. The anchor light and the new antenna are in place on the mast top. We were lucky to find an all round repair man working on another boat on the dock to make 4 trips up the mast to do the repairs. Jane had volunteered to be hoisted to the top but it would have been difficult for her to complete the work.
The forward toilet is now restored to its former glory!! Guess who had to do the rebuild? Somebody once said that cruising is fixing things in exotic places, I know what they meant. The new remote has been installed in the windless and is working fine and the dingy and engine went through a work out yesterday and passed with flying colors.
The zippers on the dodger had separated and once again we lucked out on the dock. The same boat that our repair man was working on had a seamstress on board. Patti brought her Sailrite machine on board our boat yesterday and restitched all the zippers.
The Captain in his new chair
This morning we went to the Stuart boat show. That was the first mistake. Several hours later and many dollars lighter we returned to the boat. We now have two new places to rest our *****. As you can see in the pictures we have already set them up and tried them out. They will get lots of use on those sunny days on the Keys.

The Admiral in her throne.

Tomorrow Sunday we will decide if we will leave on Monday or wait a few more days until a front passes on Tuesday. Of course Sunday afternoon will be Patriot time so we will not get much done during the game.
