We had a good night sleep and woke refreshed to a sun filled morning. We took the free trolley to the market place in down town Charleston. We visited here twice before but it is still one of our favorite places to stroll and shop. We wanted desperately to buy a new sweet grass basket but the prices are outrageous so we did not purchase. We did pick up a few other little items for our travel Christmas tree and a few things in the 'Life Is Good' store.
At one o'clock we met Paul Renaghan and his wife Ines and adorable 12 month old son for lunch at the Charleston Crab House. We had not seen Paul since he got married so it was a great reunion. After lunch they drove us back to our boat and took the grand tour. We visited for an hour and then it was time for them to take baby home for a nap so we bid them farewell and we hope they come visit us in Florida next winter.
We were distracted for a while after they left by a charter boat returning to the berth beside us. The boat was not the problem it was the dozen or more bikini clad young women dancing and prancing around the deck as they came into port. Peter tried to divert his eyes but eventually he just resigned to the fact that it was not working so he hopped onto the dock to help!! tie up the boat!!!
Tomorrow we will fill up at the dock early and depart for our next destination 70 or 80 miles north on the ICW. Stay tuned
