June 3rd. Georgetown, S. Carolina

We left our dock in Charleston this morning at 6.30am and motored to the fuel dock to top off our tank. We headed out of the marina by 7am and headed for the ICW once again. Everything went well until we realized that after updating the software in our navigation system we had not set the time offset. Instead of picking up a following current north on the ICW we ended up beating into it all day. This also had us traveling at low tide for most of the day so we recorded depths of as low as 1.8ft bellow the keel, a little too close for comfort. How and ever our little ship brought us through with flying colors and we tied up in Georgetown by 4 o'clock.
I would be remiss if I did not mention the condition of the rivers and inlets we pass through every day here in the south east. To put it simply they are disgusting. I wish people could see what we humans are doing to our rivers and oceans. We need another Pete Seger to stir peoples emotions and hold people like the Koch brothers and Georgia Pacific to account for this environmental disaster.
On a lighter note, we were greeted to our dock by some cute ducks and of course we had to feed them. If Lindy reads this he will get a laugh. He always busted my ass for bringing wild life up to his boat!!!!!!

Dinner was first class on board once again. Pork Chops on the grill with new potatoes and Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil salad. Off again in the morning. We hope to get into N. Carolina tomorrow before stopping for the night.
