Day 23-24 Oct. 9 & 10 Boatshow

Friday Peter decided to go to the boat show via water taxi since the wind was up and would make for a wet dingy ride to the harbor. He left at 10AM and Jane stayed on until 1PM so Pretzel would not be left alone too long. It started out very cold in the morning but once the sun appeared, the wind softened, and it was quite warm! Peter saw our major upgrade companies to say hi; Cleave from Sea Frost, Ken from Annapolis whose company did our water maker, and Ham Ferris who did our solar and wind generator. It was quite crowded. We did not spend much time looking at boats--happy with what we have. After all our upgrades, though, it becomes a bit redundant to look at more "stuff".

Saturday was a working day. Jane did some cleaning and Eric & Jenn Mendelbaum dropped her at the grocery store so she could provision with things too heavy to carry back on the bike! Peter cleaned & oiled our companionway lock. He also bought LED bulbs for our running lights so those got changed and tested. The only one left to switch to LED now is our anchor light. He won't let Jane go to the top of the mast to change the bulb. We left Pretzel and went back to the show for an after show party at the Jeanneau booths (our boat make). We toured their new 57' boat...beautiful but way too big for us! It was really fun socializing with Glenn & Ani. Glen sold us our boat 5 years ago...Ani is his wife. Sad to say goodbye since we probably won't be back in New England next year.
This picture is our vacuum packer given to us by my brother at Christmas. It works great to repackage meat into portions for 2. We haven't had to vacuum leftovers because we try to make only enough to eat for 1 meal at a time.
